Another edit for you all today! I'm absolutely loving neons at the moment, they can really brighten up an outfit! I've put together a few neon items that I think would make lovely statement pieces and would look great in the Summer time (if we ever get a Summer here in England!). The bright lime/ yellow skirt is one of my favourites and I've actually styled it into an outfit here (click!) in case you want an idea of how to wear it. I also love the orange top, it would look so cute with skinny jeans and a blazer for lunch with friends or a shopping trip! The shoes, although beautiful, are fairly expensive but at the time of making this, I was desperate for some bright cobalt pointed courts in my life and couldn't find any others anywhere! I've since found these beauties (click!) from River Island which are much more affordable and have snapped them up to style in a post for you all soon!

I've got one exam to go now at university, so once I've done that I'll be able to take more outfit photos to post here on my blog! I also have some exciting news that I'm starting a one month fashion internship next month at a really cool new company, but I will let you all know about that nearer the time! Hope everyone is having a lovely week!

I've put together today a little fashion edit for you all. I'm currently revising for my first year Uni exams so don't have time to put any outfit posts together, but as soon as it's Summer I'll be making more of them!

I love this trend at the moment, it's so colourful and bright. I wouldn't wear all of these at once, but with the right outfit you can work this trend into so many different looks. I love how earthy and natural all these colours are, it's a refreshing change from the florals and pastels we see every Summer, although, don't get me wrong, I love those too!

Let me know if you like these, I've made a couple more which I can upload whilst I'm finishing up at Uni. Good luck to everyone else revising for exams at the moment!

Sunshine and Lace

It was so sunny in Manchester a few days ago I thought I would make use of the gorgeous weather and take some outfit photos. I love to wear this neon lace skirt from Topshop when I'm out in the sun. It's so bright but fresh and spring-like at the same time, even if the bees do think you are a flower! This wrap top is also from Topshop, notice a pattern? The drape of the top looks lovely against the lace of the skirt and I think they compliment each other perfectly.

Again I've paired the outfit with my Topshop Gwenda court shoes, if you invest in one nice pair of shoes this season, it has to be these! I wanted to show you all an outfit including them when I'm wearing a skirt to show you how versitle they are. I would love a pair of these shoes in royal blue, please sort this out Topshop! If anyone knows where I can get a blue pair, please let me know! I've kept it simple with accessories today, I just love how the colour of the skirt dominates the look.

I really hope this hot, sunny weather returns to Manchester soon! I think the South has been a bit luckier with the weather than us lately!

OOTD: 11/04/13 'Where the Wild Things Are'

I thought this top was so cute when I saw it on the Topshop website that I just couldn't resist it! It's not something I would normally go for but I can't seem to stop buying prints and monochrome this season- as you can probably tell from my recent posts! The panther on the front is stitched not printed and the jumper is a really soft knit making it feel more luxurious. I've paired it with this simple jersey skater skirt, also from Topshop, but the top would look equally nice with black skinny jeans or riding pants. I added the orange bag for a splash of colour and (unashamedly) I have orange nails to match!

For this look I wanted a softer, more relaxed hairstyle so I hunted out my Babyliss Conical Wand from the bottom of my wardrobe! Although the curls don't last very well on me (my hair is very uncooperative!) they fall out into nice waves and I think it's a style I'm going to use on my hair more often.

This outfit is perfect for the 'in-between' season we are having at the moment. Not quite warm enough for Spring clothes but moving away from the arctic temperatures in England lately. I can't wait to wear this outfit when I return to university tomorrow!

WEAR THE TREND: Polka Dots

Large graphic and geometric prints are a big trend this season. Look on the high street and you'll see squares, stripes, dots and straight line patterns everywhere. I bought this top in Topshop a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! It's really unusual with the contrasts in black and white and satisfies my need for the graphic trend and the monochrome trend simultaneously!

I'm not really one to layer different prints together as I like there to be one focal point to the outfit. For that reason I've paired this top with a pair of burgundy jeans and my Topshop pointed court shoes. It's a simple but effective outfit, I can't wait to embrace prints more this season!

The 'IT' Jacket

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted a jacket to wear as the weather starts warming up- possibly a little optimistic I know! I'm getting bored of wearing my thick coat everywhere and nobody ever seeing my outfit so a jacket I could wear on the odd occasion that the weather did improve was top of my wish list!

This jacket I found in the River Island sale for £30 down from £60! I'm so pleased with it, it ticks all the boxes I wanted it to. The jacket is a 'biker' style but not the traditional full leather that most biker jackets are. The exterior is a bouclé material with additional black jersey panels down the sleeves. The lapels are black PU material and the zips and metal details are gold. I love how different textures are incorporated into one garment as it really makes it an interesting piece. I love this jacket and it's really flattering! The sale in River Island is still on at the moment so you might be able to get this in some stores. I think everyone needs a staple jacket in their wardrobe that goes with everything (or nearly everything!) and can be worn in the day or smartened up for the night- they are a good investment!

For those of you that have asked in previous posts, these heels are fairly comfortable. I've not tried wearing them for long periods of time however, but they aren't necessarily uncomfortable! I would really recommend them.
