What I got for Christmas..

Benefit 'Confessions of a Concealaholic' | Sephora Instant Moisture Masks | Philosophy 'Have a Cherry Christmas' Bubble Bath | Naked Basics Pallette | Sephora Smoky Lash Mascara | Topshop 'Bowl Me Over' Glitter Polish
Vogue Subscription | 'Fashion and Textiles An Overview'  by Colin Gale and Jasbir Kaur | Vogue on Christian Dior | Vogue on Coco Chanel | Kindle Fire
Fiorelli Bag | Dachshund Ring Holder
Fur Gilet- Topshop
Cardigan- Jack Wills

I thought I'd write a quick 'What I got for Christmas' post as I love seeing what other people got for Christmas and this year I was particularly lucky with my presents. I did get a few other things but these were the ones I could locate and were my favourites.

Things to note:

1) I bought myself the Naked Basics palette and the Jack Wills cardigan
The Naked Basics palette was a sort of Christmas present to myself after I bought my mum one for Christmas and couldn't resist getting my own. I got the Jack Wills cardigan in the Christmas sale after wanting it for ages. It had sold out online but I knew the Jack Wills near me still had them so I had a little look on Boxing Day and had to have it- it even had £50 off!

2) My boyfriend got me the Topshop Gilet (probably my favourite present, I feel like Millie Mackintosh every time I wear it! Is that strange?), the Makeup Forever Mascara and the Sephora face masks
The mascara is the best I've ever used, it's a shame it's quite expensive and not readily available, but as my boyfriend is often in Italy, I'm sure he will be able to bring me another back when I run out! The masks are a really cool concept, you make them up yourself by adding water! It looks like you are making up a protein shake and the consistency is a gel afterwards. I've only used these once and I like the results, but I will carry on using them and post a review up when I have tried them a bit more!

3) The Kindle was the main present from my Parents
Since going to University I often watch a lot of trashy TV shows in my free time and I wanted to get into reading but couldn't find the motivation. Although I love the smell and feel of a new book, I adore the Kindle. It's so easy to read on (you can hold it in one hand) and pleasant to read. As I have the Kindle Fire I can also use it as a tablet to surf the internet and play games- Cut the Rope is my favourite, and so addictive! It's fairly cheap for a tablet so if you're looking to get a Kindle or you're unsure, I really recommend the Kindle Fire! I also like the fact you can sample books before you buy them and there are often deals to get books really cheaply.

My Parents also bought me the fashion books. Being a fashion student I can't resist a good fashion read! The Vogue Books are beautiful and so interesting, and the Fashion and Textiles book is great if you're seriously considering a degree in Fashion business/ buying. It's more like a textbook than a relaxing read but as I study Fashion and Textiles I find it very interesting!

Sorry if this post seemed like a bit of a ramble, I hope you liked it anyway!
I'm going to upload an Outfit post soon this week too so look out for that. Hope everyone is settling back into their daily routines again, it's sad that Christmas is over but I'm looking forward to seeing what the New Year brings!

Recent Purchases...

I haven't actually been out shopping for what seems like forever, so I was having serious shopping withdrawal symptoms! I had a maths exam yesterday, so, as my next exam is in a week, my cousin and I went shopping in the afternoon (after all, I didn't feel like doing more revision straight after my exam!). I only bought a few things but I thought I'd share them with you. If you'd like any reviews of anything you see here then let me know :)

A few points on what I bought:

1. Essie Fiji is possibly my favourtie nail polish ever! I love the colour- white with a hint of pink- and the brush is really wide so it applies so easily. This one is from the new diffusion line in Boots :)

2. I now have both colours of the No 7 Nourishing Lip Shine so may do a post on them soon, I've heard they are a good dupe for the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors and they are a third of the price (if you use a No 7 £5 off voucher!)

3. I'd heard a lot about the First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser and it's lovely! It's not greasy, absorbs quickly and doesn't smell of anything (which I prefer!). The best part is it contains no parabens or harsh chemical so is good for my sensitive skin. I want to try out more from the range!

I'm going to be posting lots more outfits soon and an everyday make up post, so look out for them in a week or two! I still have one exam left but after that I'll be posting regularly again!

Winter Treats Haul

Here's a few things I picked up last time I went shopping. They are mainly from Primark, which I don't normally shop in, but they have got it so right with their latest Winter accessory line, I still can't get enough, I would like to pop back soon and see if they have a few more Pj sets in my size!

1) Fluffy, fleece lined Winter slipper socks
Primark

2) I love these novelty Christmas socks! I know it's only October but I couldn't resist- and how cute is that Penguin?!
Primark

 3) Cute Winter Pyjamas! Probably going to need an extra thick duvet if I wear these to bed
Primark

4) A hot chocolate and my favourite magazine- I love Grazia!
Mug- Pastimes
Grazia Magazine- £1 this week only :)

I know it's early to be getting into the Winter Spirit but I really think Winter and the build up to Christmas is my favourite time of year (I'm not too keen on the few months after Christmas though!)
Have you been getting into the Winter Spirit?

Small haul and my Mac palette so far!

Today I had a little splurge! I had a bit of money left over from my birthday so bought myself a few goodies. The eye-shadows were for my new palette which you can see more clearly further down this post. I also got a cute cross necklace from Topshop which I love! It matches my ring and makes me so happy when I wear it.

I got another Creme D'Nude lipstick from Mac as I'm already running low on my last one! The other lipstick is from Topshop, it's called Pillow Talk and I think it could be the ultimate baby pink. It's creamy, opaque and looks gorgeous on. I've been trying to find something similar from Mac but this is honestly the best pink lipstick I have ever found.

The candle is from John Lewis and it's made by a company called Lily Flame. I've always been a Yankee Candle lover but I couldn't resist this packaging. It has a  lovely floral, fruity, sweet scent- as you can tell I'm not very good at describing scents!

Finally this gorgeous fluffy pink jumper is from Topshop. It has the cutest bow detail on the back and I know I'll get a lot of wear out of it. To see it more clearly here is the link. I'm sure it will feature on an OOTD very soon!

This is my Mac palette so far! Only 6 more shadows and it's full. I'm having so much fun picking out colours already :)

From left to right:
Top Row- Vanilla, Jest, Espresso
Middle Row- Mulch, Sable, Woodwinked
Bottom Row- Coppering, Cranberry, Amber Lights

New Favourite Shoes

I bought these gorgeous patent loafers on Sunday from River Island and had to show them! I really wanted some and my mum spotted these, they are everything that wanted them to be. I look the gold metal detail and the tiny strips of gold peeking out by the sole. I also think the inside of these shoes are lovely, the camel colour makes them look really expensive and even though you can't see it when they're on, these extra touches really finish them off (as we know by previous posts, I love camel)! I don't think these pictures do them enough justice!

Just a few collective purchases from some recent shopping trips. I'm trying to buy more practical clothes at the moment in preparation for going back to sixth form and finishing my A Levels, whilst still remaining fashionable!

Black and White Stripe Top- H&M £9.99

The Aztec stlyle earrings are from Primark and were only £2, I love them! I got the skull earrings from Topshop for £5 (although I'm not sure its clear from my picture that they are skulls!) and the lipstick is Creme d'Nude by Mac. I've been wearing this non stop lately, I don't know why I didn't own this before.

I've taken a few pictures of me wearing al these pieces and I will upload them shortly, hope you like them!

Edit: After it was pointed out in the comments I have now included the price of the jacket, thanks for letting me know :)

When in London...

Sorry for the absence! I've been busy with a few different things and keep having to go away. Last weekend I went to London for my cousins wedding at the Kensington Roof Gardens! It was a beautiful weekend and it was warm and sunny throughout (not bad for England ay?). During the weekend I got a chance to head to Space.N.K and Selfridge's where I happily indulged my make up addiction! So here's a mini haul/ review on the items I bought, I was so happy to get them!

Nars Duo Eye shadow (Cordura)
I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it! Having never bought any Nars products before I leapt in at the deep end and bought this gorgeous duo. The first colour is a beautiful bronze brown with shimmer, but not too much, and the second colour is a deep cocoa brown with shimmer. Both colours I would class to be 'warm' and I only really think warm eye shadow shades suit me, perhaps I'm just playing it safe! The pigmentation is incredible and the consistency is lovely, well worth the money!

  Nars Blush (Deep Throat)
I've wanted this shade for ages after seeing it on numerous blogs and Youtube videos. Its a soft baby pink with gold shimmer. Again, its well pigmented and a gorgeous pink flush can be created easily and quickly! It has fast become my 'go to' blush and I'll definately be taking this on holiday!

Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser (Shade- Natural Radiance)
This is an expensive product but I wanted it for my holiday in Spain as I don't want to be wearing heavy foundation. It has lived up to expectations providing incredible coverage for a tinted moisturiser and it has a silky soft feel to it like nothing else. You can really tell it's a high end product as it has such a lovely creamy feel. The assistant at Space.N.K recommended the illuminating version as my skin is clear from spots but it sometimes a little red and discoloured. This version provides a beautiful dewy shine whist giving your skin an amazing glow, I love it!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
I've used this before and had run out. In my opinion its the best (and best value!) eye shadow primer out there! It holds my shadows all day without creasing or losing intensity. I will repurchase again and again.

Hope you enjoyed this little haul, more to follow!
