OOTD London Wedding

Just a short post to show you what I wore for the wedding I went to at Kensington Roof Gardens! Of course I needed a new outfit for it and settled upon this reasonably priced dress from Miss Selfridge. At only £39 I thought it was a bargain, you can still buy it here, although not many sizes are left! It was love at first sight and it reminds me a little of Kate Middleton, I love her style!

The shoes I wore were from Dune last year, I wore them to my prom, they are amazing because they go with so many things, they are my real life 'Cinderella' shoes and I wear them on special occasions. The bag is beaded and from John Lewis, again bought last year for my prom. My earrings are pearls from Accessorize, I wish I was wearing a bracelet with this outfit but didn't have one to match, I hardly wear jewellery apart from earrings and I felt the bag and shoes added enough detail anyway.

I did my hair myself by curling it with straighteners and pinning it up on the back of my head randomly. I really liked the way it turned out although my brother wasn't impressed that he had to hold a mirror behind me for ages whilst I got it 'just right'!

Hope you liked this quick OOTD!

When in London...

Sorry for the absence! I've been busy with a few different things and keep having to go away. Last weekend I went to London for my cousins wedding at the Kensington Roof Gardens! It was a beautiful weekend and it was warm and sunny throughout (not bad for England ay?). During the weekend I got a chance to head to Space.N.K and Selfridge's where I happily indulged my make up addiction! So here's a mini haul/ review on the items I bought, I was so happy to get them!

Nars Duo Eye shadow (Cordura)
I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it! Having never bought any Nars products before I leapt in at the deep end and bought this gorgeous duo. The first colour is a beautiful bronze brown with shimmer, but not too much, and the second colour is a deep cocoa brown with shimmer. Both colours I would class to be 'warm' and I only really think warm eye shadow shades suit me, perhaps I'm just playing it safe! The pigmentation is incredible and the consistency is lovely, well worth the money!

  Nars Blush (Deep Throat)
I've wanted this shade for ages after seeing it on numerous blogs and Youtube videos. Its a soft baby pink with gold shimmer. Again, its well pigmented and a gorgeous pink flush can be created easily and quickly! It has fast become my 'go to' blush and I'll definately be taking this on holiday!

Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser (Shade- Natural Radiance)
This is an expensive product but I wanted it for my holiday in Spain as I don't want to be wearing heavy foundation. It has lived up to expectations providing incredible coverage for a tinted moisturiser and it has a silky soft feel to it like nothing else. You can really tell it's a high end product as it has such a lovely creamy feel. The assistant at Space.N.K recommended the illuminating version as my skin is clear from spots but it sometimes a little red and discoloured. This version provides a beautiful dewy shine whist giving your skin an amazing glow, I love it!

Urban Decay Primer Potion
I've used this before and had run out. In my opinion its the best (and best value!) eye shadow primer out there! It holds my shadows all day without creasing or losing intensity. I will repurchase again and again.

Hope you enjoyed this little haul, more to follow!

Forever 21 in London!

Anyone else super excited about the launch of Forever 21 in London?! There's adverts everywhere for it at the moment and whilst I was there last weekend I took this picture of one on a black cab. Pretty disappointed I was in London a week early, going to have to get my friends involved in a shopping trip soon to check it out soon, how exciting!

face of the night ♥

This is the make up I wore recently on a night out with my friends. I loved it because it was pretty and neutral, a really nice fresh look that would work well for the evening or daytime. The shadows I used were all from a gorgeous 'Too Faced' palette I bought not long ago called 'The Natural Eyes Kit'. It was around £20 and I love all of the shades included. The colours are not far off the colours from the Urban Decay Naked palette which I also own and use religiously, however I would go as far as saying I slightly prefer the Too Faced version. The colours I used were 'Heaven', 'Honey Pot', 'Silk Teddy', 'Push Up' and 'Cocoa Puff'.

I've lined my eyes with Bobbi Brown Longwear Gel eye liner in 'Chocolate Shimmer Ink'. I was weary of this colour at first, I've used gel eye liner for years but never ventured into using browns. Now it had come to summer I really wanted a softer look. After being shown all the eye liners (I've never seen so many shades of brown!) I settled on this one. It was the only shimmery version with red reflects present and had lovely warm undertone. The shimmer is hardly noticeable without a magnifying glass once it's on your eyes and yet it has a gorgeous depth to the colour, beautiful.

On my face I'm wearing Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in the colour 54. I've heard mixed opinions about this product but it's a must have for me. The coverage is medium and the finish dewy and glowing. I love the soft consistency and pleasant fragrance. I'm also wearing Mac Cream Colour Base in 'Improper Copper' on my cheeks and a Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick to highlight. On my lips I have Mac Hue and a Maybelline Colour Sensational gloss in Ivory Beige. I'm a lover of nudes and this combination is pretty and natural looking, without washing me out.

All in all a pretty, glossy look perfect for daytime or night, many more face of the night posts to follow ♥
