I don't really wear nail polish on my finger nails very often. This is purely because for a year now I've been getting acrylic nails on a regular basis. I love wearing different colours on my nails but having a French Manicure always makes me feel groomed. Yesterday, however, I bravely bought a new colour from Revlon, its called 'Smoky Canvas' and I love it! It happens to be the perfect grey colour but with a hint of taupe thrown in. It's also a dream to apply, with one coat achieving the colour in the bottle and covering my usual white tips, as opposed to the usual 2/3 coats I need of other nail polishes. It also dried quickly, in about 5 minutes. I think this is a gorgeous colour, if you've never tried a grey nail polish then this is the one you should go for, it's lovely!

New Favourite Shoes
I bought these gorgeous patent loafers on Sunday from River Island and had to show them! I really wanted some and my mum spotted these, they are everything that wanted them to be. I look the gold metal detail and the tiny strips of gold peeking out by the sole. I also think the inside of these shoes are lovely, the camel colour makes them look really expensive and even though you can't see it when they're on, these extra touches really finish them off (as we know by previous posts, I love camel)! I don't think these pictures do them enough justice!

OOTD Sunday
I hope you're not bored of the scenery! I need to find somewhere else for pictures, I've been hunting for possible places today so hopefully I can show you my outfits somewhere else next time!
I've been obsessed with the rust/ orange/ brown clothes in the shops at the moment, so when I saw these leggings in River Island for £10 I had to have them! I really love them but I'm not sure they're to everyone's taste, I hope other people appreciate them as much as I do. I've been on the hunt for a pair of jeans this colour but I've yet to find the definitive pair so these will have to do for now!
I like this top (and as you may be able to tell from my previous post, I love stripes!). It's baggy but has fitted sleeves and doesn't look too huge when its on. I really like baggy things at the moment, they remind me of the 'boyfriend trend' and I'm really pleased with how it looks laid back, yet cute all at once.
Do you like my cross ring? I've wanted one for the longest time and Topshop suddenly came out with this. I rarely buy jewellery but I needed to get the ring - it really is the finishing touch to all my outfits. Not sure if I'd wear these pumps with this outfit but I needed some for the photo. I bought some absolutely gorgeous shoes today that would look perfect with it so I'll do a blog post on them soon! Sorry for the ramble, I hope you like what I'm wearing :)

My New Love
I think I'm in love with the colour 'camel'. I was last year, I am this year and I think I will be for years to come. The changes in season can always be noted by the colours of the clothes in the shops. I'm in love with all the Autumnal colours that can be seen at the moment and there's no denying it, camel is in.
The quality of clothes is important to me. I'd never buy anything scratchy or that feels too cheap. This is why I love the jumper and skirt, they're both so soft, lovely for snuggling up on Autumn nights.
In my last post I showed you the pieces I had recently bought, so here is a few pictures of me wearing them- I'm a firm believer in trying things on even if they look strange on the hanger so I thought you might like to see me actually wearing the clothes. It was pretty sunny when these pictures were taken so I had to stay in the same shady spot in my garden, I hope you don't get too bored of this, I have a few more outfits to show you standing there!

The Aztec stlyle earrings are from Primark and were only £2, I love them! I got the skull earrings from Topshop for £5 (although I'm not sure its clear from my picture that they are skulls!) and the lipstick is Creme d'Nude by Mac. I've been wearing this non stop lately, I don't know why I didn't own this before.
I've taken a few pictures of me wearing al these pieces and I will upload them shortly, hope you like them!
Edit: After it was pointed out in the comments I have now included the price of the jacket, thanks for letting me know :)

the maxi dress debate
Last year on holiday I toyed with the idea of getting a maxi dress but eventually dismissed it after wrongly thinking I wouldn't find one short enough (I'm 5ft 4) or that maxi dresses don't suit petite people. How wrong I was! This year I bought two maxi dresses and absolutely love them both!
The first was from New Look a little while ago and is just above floor length on me with flat sandals. I like it because its simple and would translate well from a day dress to a going out dress just teamed with different accessories. The earrings I wore with it are large gold and turquoise ones from River Island. I don't wear a lot of jewellery but I do always wear earrings since I think they always finish off an outfit beautifully.
The second dress I got in the River Island sale, reduced from £25 to £12! Its a gorgeous rust/ burnt orange colour with gold detail on it. This is slightly longer so I wore it with a medium heel (brown buckle heels I also got from the River Island sale for £15). The earrings I wore with this are gold crosses from Urban Outfitters, they are some of my favourite earrings ever and work with so many outfits. The first night I wore this dress I also wore a coral bracelet from New Look, the colours matched perfectly.
I'm hoping that the second maxi will work well as a transition piece into Autumn. The colour is right but would it work well for slightly colder weather? I'm not sure, I'll have to let you know how that goes!
Coral Lips ♥
Hello! Sorry I've not posted for ages, I've been in Spain for 2 weeks so I haven't been able to post any blogs. The good news is though that I have lots of OOTD's to show you and loads of ideas for future blog posts, I wont leave it this long again, or at least I'll try!
For a long time now I've always favoured the nude lip above any other colour out there. I thought, well this suits me, why try anything different? However this year on holiday I wanted to be brave and in line with all the summer trends bought Mac's Vegas Volt lipstick at the airport. I love this lipstick so much, its an amplified finish which combines high pigmentation, a creamy feel and a semi matte finish to the lips. The colour is an orange-coral with the teeniest hint of pink (it's not really noticeable but every now and again I see it). I think above all it's a flattering colour that would work well with all skin tones and hair colours, it really is amazing.
Having said this I was only brave enough to wear this lipstick once, and after looking back through my holiday photos I felt a little disappointed I hadn't worn it more. Nonetheless here are the pictures of me wearing this lipstick.
On the rest of my face I played down my make-up I am wearing:
Laura Mercier Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser (Natural Radiance)
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (Medium)
Nars Blush (Deep Throat)
Bourjois 'Delice de Poudre' bronzing powder (51)
Urban Decay Naked Palette (Sin and Buck)
MUFE Aqua Eyes Liner (a brown one- not sure of the name)
My dress is from Topshop, it was £18 - bargain!
